Burger Challenge

It's been a while...

However, let us not focus on the negative...

About the "Son of a bun" challenge -
2 buns
6 burger patties
12 hash browns
An infestation of cheese
10 onion rings
And fries
1 milkshake (no water allowed)
... 25 MINUTES TIME LIMIT...

Last week, I went on a foodie venture and I was not disappointed. As far as food challenges go, I did not think that the "Son of a bun challenge" would be too hard. When I saw the other videos of the challenge it honestly seemed like it was a few slabs of meat, onion rings and chips... I mean, that is all that it looks like in the picture right??

Hell no!! Once you actually get cracking on the challenge, you quickly realise that there isn't an "easy" starting point because it all looks like a mountain of food and the carbs and grease start to mock you. I decided, the best place to start this monstrosity of a challenge would be to try and demolish the meat then work my way to the onion rings and fries. Either, my calculations for what I am able to eat was wrong or that was just disgustingly too hard.

The first 5 minutes of the challenge seems like a breeze and you feel like you can overcome the challenge with ease. However, you soon come to realise the actuality of what is happening because you end up getting stitches all over your body. The meat patties decide to take over your body and put you in a coma and you are just looking at the food that's left wondering if throwing up will be the best option. The truth of the matter is, you will find the challenge impossible regardless of how you start it and anyone who actually does accomplish the challenge is an absolute beast!!

In all seriousness, I do believe that Teaze is an absolute gem of a restaurant to go eat in. The restaurant is not the biggest. I believe that is a lot better because it gives Teaze more of a friendly feel and the staff are devoted in making sure each customer that comes in has the best experience. Even if the experience sends them in a mad food coma for a couple of hours. The staff are really friendly and they find it easy to clown around to make you feel more at ease. Well, as comfortable as we were... still couldn't find the correct formula to over come the mountain of a task which was the challenge.

If anyone was interested in the challenge or just wanted somewhere to go to enjoy an amazing meal with a chilled atmosphere I would really recommend this place. The restaurant is situated in the perfect place as it is right outside Stepney Green underground station.
